A Sad Poem

 Hello, everyone!

Today, I have a sad poem for you. It is a pantoum, just so you know. (Do you remember what a pantoum is? If not, we discussed it in the previous blog post. Go check it out!) Just a disclaimer, this poem is not actually about me. It is just a sad poem.

One last note, I'm not completely satisfied with the title, so if you have any suggestions that would be great. Otherwise, enjoy!

Deadly Secrets

By SweetScribe

I didn't know,

You never told me.

I'm sorry.

I wish I knew.

You never told me

The crushing secret.

I wish I knew,

I would've helped keep it.

The crushing secret

That eventually crushed you.

I would've helped keep it!

I've been crushed too.

That, eventually, crushed you.

You died in my arms.

I've been crushed too.

That day, I died in part.

You died in my arms

From the weight of that thing.

That day, I died in part

From the weightlessness of you.

From the weight of that thing,

There's no wonder it destroyed you.

From the weightlessness of you,

I wonder why you let it destroy me too.

There's no wonder it destroyed you.

Did you forget our vows?

I wonder if you forgot it'd destroy me too.

There's no use saving us now.

Did you forget our vows?

'Till death do us part, we said.

There's no use saving us now

I'm still alive, but I feel dead.

'Till death do us part, we said.

We're both apart.

I'm still alive, but I feel dead.

We both have broken hearts.

We're both apart.

I'm sorry.

We both have broken hearts.

I didn't know.

Stay sweet!
